Dylan’s Den: The Ultimate Fighter & UFC News

After a long delay & unfortunate problems, Dan Henderson who was scheduled to fight Jon Jones for the UFC Light Heavy-Weight Title suffered an Injury 8 days before fight time. Dana White and his team scrambled for an opponent on short notice and asked Former Middle-Weight contender Chael Sonnon. Chael accepted even though it would be his first bout at 205 & having no time to train or prepare.

After a threatening take on the UFC 151 event, things were getting back to normal. However, that same night Chael Sonnon accepted the fight, Jon Jones’s manager and head coach “Greg Jackson” told Jon to decline. His reason – “Chael Sonnon is to dangerous of an opponent to fight on such short notice, especially when you have trained months for someone different.” This caused alot of tension & anger between Jon Jones & his fans.

This upset UFC President Dana White & Dana responded by calling Jackson, “A F****** Sports Killer” who now threatened the events existence. Dana then scrambled & put forth Lyoto Machida who accepted the fight, but a day later refused because short of notice. After all the fuss, Dana White called for the cancellation of UFC 151 calling it, “The Lost Event” which was the first time in UFC history. The company lost millions because of promotion & advertisements.

Two weeks later & we had ourselves a fight. Vitor Belfort stepped up & was next in line to battle Jon Jones.

UFC 152 was a great card that showcased new top contenders & crowned a new Fly-Weight Champion.

Michael Bisping battled out a 3 Round Split Decision over Brian Stann wanting the UFC & the Fans to know he’s making his run for the Title.

After 5 Rounds of intense action, Demetrious Johnson showed why he deserved the first ever Fly-Weight Title. With his amazing speed, cardio, and footwork, Demetrious was able to avoid every power punch Benavidez threw, he avoided the takedowns and proved why he is and will be for a long time, the UFC Fly-Weight Champion.
