If your a Patriots fan then this makes you very nervous. Tom Brady is gracing the cover of Madden ’18. Remember Gronk’s season after he was put on the ’17 cover. Gronk suffered a hamstring injury in a practice, sidelining him for the first two games of the season. He then took that monstrous hit from Earl Thomas that resulted in a pulmonary contusion, missing one game. Oh ya, and then he had his third back surgery, sidelining him for the rest of the season. Lets hope (for Pats fans) that Brady does suffer the same fate.

Brady swears he can overcome the curse, even though at 39-year-old, he is the oldest player ever to appear on the cover.
“The Madden NFL 18 cover is a great honor for me,” said Brady. “Especially since I have been playing the game since growing up next to EA headquarters in the Bay Area. I’m not one to believe in curses, so I’m ready to take the challenge head on like always! It doesn’t stand a chance!!!”
Naturally this means that at some point in the 2017 NFL season Brady will go down with a season-ending injury of some kind.
Madden ’18 drops August 25th.
