Video: Senators Matt Carkner Sucker Punches Rangers Brian Boyle in Game 2 – Suspensions Sure to Follow

It was bedlam early in Game 2 of the Rangers – Senators series. Ottawa’s Matt Carkner jumped New York’s Brian Boyle, hit him with a sucker punch and then took him down for some ground-and-pound. Brandon Dubinsky rushed it to try and stop Carkner from swinging freely at a defenseless Boyle and got tossed for his effort.

Chris Neil would scored 1:17 into overtime, and the Ottawa Senators would rally for a wild 3-2 victory over the New York Rangers in Game 2 to even the first-round Eastern Conference series Saturday night.

Game 3 of the best-of-seven series is Monday night in Ottawa, followed by Game 4 on Wednesday night. The series will return to New York for Game 5 next Saturday.

–Suspensions are sure to follow, and could affect the rest of this series for both teams–
