REPORT: Marshawn Lynch Is “Expected’ To Be Traded To The Raiders

Running back Marshawn Lynch is reportedly expected to be traded from the Seattle Seahawks to the Oakland Raiders.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, a potential deal is contingent upon Lynch reworking his contract first.

Rapoport added that if a trade is consummated, Lynch would not be required to file a letter announcing his return from retirement.

ESPN’s Ed Werder reported Thursday that Lynch had begun the reinstatement process.

Lynch retired following a 2015 season that saw him miss nine games due to injury. The five-time Pro Bowler didn’t play in 2016, but his name has been linked to the Raiders, and he recently visited the team’s practice facility.

The Raiders lost running back Latavius Murray to the Minnesota Vikings in free agency, which leaves Oakland with unproven commodities at running back in DeAndre Washington, Jalen Richard and Taiwan Jones.

It’s only a matter of time now before we see ‘Beast Mode’ in silver and black.
