There are few things in life that gets dudes more amped up than the video game series Madden, which I’ve personally wasted an easy 1,000 hours playing in my lifetime. With the release of this year’s version set to hit shelves next Tuesday, August 25th, EA Sports decided that this was the year to have some serious fun to market it.
EA Sports brought together the most random assortment of actors and athletes to create an extremely necessary faux movie trailer to celebrate the release of Madden 16. Forget everything you know about five-minute videos about fake movies trumpeting fake football and enjoy the wild ride. Dave Franco, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Julio Jones, Rob Gronkowski, Colin Kaepernick, Antonio Brown and Rex Ryan deliver performances ranging from “good” to “I’m glad they can’t act year-round.”
I’d attempt to summarize the plot but it appears to have been established by a group of people playing late-night Mad Libs.
All that aside, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t entertained.
