The USMNT escaped with their first U.S. qualifying win in Kingston, beating Jamaica 2-1. Jozy Altidore opened the scoring on a nifty header. Then Michael Bradley would find a wide open Brad Evans for the go ahead goal, salvaging two points that looked lost when the U.S. conceded a late goal on a set piece. It wasn’t the cleanest performance for a team coming off a huge win over Germany, but points are points in World Cup Qualifying.
With the three points secured, the USA stands in first place in the Hex standings with 7 points. They play again on Tuesday, June 11, when they host Panama in Seattle.
