Chris Neil and Derek Dorsett had a hockey fight during Sunday night’s hockey game between the Vancouver Canucks and Ottawa Senators. The fight was close, but Neil got Dorsett to the ground with the help of the referees and took an extra shot at his opponent. Then as Neil skated to the bench he raised his arms.
There are almost too many unwritten rules violations to count so Dorsett skated after Neil which also might be a violation of the unwritten fighters’ rules, but two violations make a right and it says so right there on page [invisible number] of the unwritten rule book of hockey fights. Honor was lost. Respect was earned. Toughness was maintained. Without this scrap, the Senators never could have come back to win 4-3 in overtime.
