Roberto Aguayo was once considered the best kicker in college football history but since entering the NFL he’s struggled to make field goals on a consistent basis. The former FSU kicker was released this week after he missed an extra point and field goal in the Bucs preseason game against the Bengals over the weekend.
During this week’s episode of Hard Knocks, Aguayo was told he was being cut from the team in front of the HBO cameras and the footage is tough to watch.
Aguayo was picked up the Chicago Bears off waivers yesterday, so hopefully he can figure things out over there. As for kickers, I think its safe to say we won’t see another one taken in the 2nd round of a draft.
