ESPN Sideline Reporter Sergio Dipp Butchered His First MNF Sideline Report [Video]

Sergio Dipp made his Monday Night Football debut last night as a sideline reporter, and early in the game, the booth tossed it to him for an update. He was likely prepped, prepared and excited to be on camera for a national audience on ESPN. It was set to be his big moment.

Then this happened:

I don’t know if he was just nervous or what but that was so, so bad.

UPDATE: Mr. Dipp decided to record long, rambling segments explaining what happened. Brace yourself before watching. Dipp covers a lot of ground here, 9-11 will be mentioned, and it is very dramatic.

Look, in all seriousness, it was rough to see Dipp struggle in a big spot last night. Piling on feels gratuitous. At the same time, though, it’s fair to wonder why ESPN gave him this high-profile assignment.
