During the first half of yesterdays Giants-Eagles game, Philadelphia running back Darren Sproles took a handoff to the left side of the line when as he tried to turn the corner, was met with a hard hit by Giants safety Darian Thompson. Sproles would need the trainers on the field, but was able to leave the field under his own power, however, he was seen holding his right arm as he walked off.
Today, Adam Schefter reports that Sproles not only broke his right arm on the play, he also tore the ACL in his left knee.
Eagles RB Darren Sproles tore his ACL and broke his arm on same play, sources tell @mortreport and me. Surgery on arm today, knee later.

It is assumed that this will end the season for Sproles who had previously hinted that this might be his final season before retiring. Tough way to end a pretty successful NFL career.
