The Cleveland Browns can’t release Johnny Manziel until March but it appears the organization is done with the troubled quarterback. Browns EVP of operations Sashi Brown released the following statement in response to Manziel’s alleged involvement in an altercation with his girlfriend over the weekend.
“We’ve been clear about expectations for our players on and off the field. Johnny’s continual involvement in incidents that run counter to those expectations undermines the hard work of his teammates and the reputation of our organization. His status with our team will be addressed when permitted by league rules. We will have no further comment at this time.”
ESPN is also reporting the Browns will release Manziel once the league year begins on March 9.
So how does Johnny feel about all this…
[UPDATE: Now, veteran ESPN NFL reporter Ed Werder is reporting that Manziel is telling people that there are three teams interested in his services.

The Rams job does seem like the best fit for Johnny. He would likely be the favorite to start if the Rams choose not to bring in a quarterback in the draft. He would also have help with Todd Gurley in the backfield and the Rams vaunted defensive line pulling their weight on the other end of the field.]
It also makes sense for the Rams to sign Johnny if they want to bring in a big star to fill out their new stadium in Inglewood next year. Although Johnny would be a huge headache for the coaching staff people will pay top dollar to go watch him play.
I personally am ready for Johnny Hollywood.
