BoneHead: Kansas City Chiefs CB Donald Washington Arrested for Possession of Marijuana…

Donald Washington continues the run this week of arrests as he was pulled over in Effingham, Illinois and arrested for possession of a small amount of marijuana, according to 97.9 XFM.

Washington is a 25-year-old defensive back for the Kansas City Chiefs.  Washington was stopped by Illinois State Police on I-70 near Altamont at 2:42pm for speeding at 88mph.  The trooper detected the odor of cannabis and found a small quantity of cannabis in the vehicle in a backpack in the trunk.

Washington, who played college football at Ohio State University, has been charged with DUI drugs, unlawful possession of 2.5 to 10 grams of cannabis, speeding and driving while his license is suspended.  His bond was set at $20,000.

Someone should have really told him that Effingham triangle area in Illinois is a major speed trap. FYI: Keep the marijuana put away when you are driving through Southern Illinois.

  1. Poor guy! Apparently he did not know that Effingham has a heavy volume of cops. Effingham has this bad reputation for giving tickets to drivers, just for going 3 miles over the posted speed limit, or staying in the left lane too long. I greatly feel sorry for this NFL player. Even though I’m not touched by this incident since I’m a Bear’s fan, it still sucks.
