From the outside looking in, it appears Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers super team may be coming to an end very soon. For the past few weeks we’ve heard rumors that LeBron wants to to take his talents to LA and play for the Clippers or Lakers after his contract with the Cavs expires next season. Now it appears his wingman Kyrie Irving has no interest in playing with the team if LeBron leaves in 2018.
All-Star Kyrie Irving has been contacting some of his former Team USA teammates and letting them know that he might be willing to push for a trade, especially if he feels the Cavs’ run could end quickly with James able to opt out after next season.
Through back channels, Chicago would be one of the places that Irving would be interested to play.
Clearly the asking price for Irving would be too rich for what the Bulls have, and a third team would also have to be brought into that mix.
Sounds like the Cavs are going back to being in the cellar of the Eastern Conference for a very long time if LeBron and Kyrie end up leaving in 2018.
