After months of rumors it appears that the Conor McGregor-Floyd Mayweather fight is finally a go. Mayweather went on Intagram this afternoon to confirm the fight.
Conor of course poked fun of Mayweather in his announcement tweet by posing a photo of Floyd’s uncle.

Terms of the deal were not available, but it will either be at the MGM Grand Garden or T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The Nevada Athletic Commission on Wednesday approved the request from Mayweather Promotions to put on a boxing card on Aug. 26 at the MGM Grand. The venue could change, however, to T-Mobile.
The bout will be distributed via Showtime pay-per-view. It will be an entirely boxing card. Mayweather Promotions will be the lead promoter.
The fact that this is really happening defies all odds. Conor McGregor will have to defy odds for a second time if he’s going to beat Mayweather. Spoiler alert: He’s not.
Mayweather will open as a hefty favorite and McGregor a big underdog. Numbers are different all over the place and the money is already coming in on McGregor because people love losing money playing the lottery.
