Dana White Called Jon Jones The Biggest Waste Of Talent Of All Time

Dana White and Jon Jones aren’t friends, Dana was recently on a podcast and had this to say.

“Ever. Ever, in all of sports,” White said. “The guy is so talented and gifted. God knows what he’d be doing right now if he had never got in trouble. He could possibly be the heavyweight champion and have the defense record that couldn’t be broken. The list goes on and on of what could’ve been with Jon Jones.”

Pretty harsh words, but hard to disagree.

Jones was stripped of his light heavyweight championship after being involved in a hit-and-run in 2015, lost it again after testing positive for cocaine before his match against Daniel Cormier at UFC 200, and vacated it one more time after testing positive for steroids following his fight against Cormier at UFC 214 over the summer.

If Jones ends up retiring from the sport as a result of a ban, he would finish his career with a 22-1 record. I find it kind of hard to believe that Jones is the biggest wasted talent of all time when Aaron Hernandez existed, but I can see where White is coming from.
