Watch Tim Tebow Strike Out Looking, And Then Gets Hit By A Pitch In His Mets Debut [Video]

Tim Tebow made his spring training debut on Wednesday for the New York Mets and it went exactly as you expected it would.

The strike three call was a little questionable, however, that’s not a great at-bat right there. Something tells me Tebow won’t be making the big club out of spring training.

UPDATE: First he struck out looking, then he grounded into a double play with the bases loaded and got a “standing ovation.” Now he’s checked “hit by pitch” off his baseball bucket list. Tebow was hit on the right shoulder with two runners on in the 6th. Didn’t even look like it bothered him.

UPDATE II: Tim Tebow stepped up to the plate 4 times in his MLB Spring Training debut. He reached based twice when he was hit by a pitch and hit into a run-scoring double play. He also struck out twice. The second strike out was particularly un-MLB-worthy as Tebow flinched at a breaking ball, seemed to disagree with all three strike calls and never took his bat off his shoulder. Tebow finished 0-for-3 with two K’s. Unofficially, Tebow accounted for 28 of 27 outs this afternoon.
