On Friday night, Diamondbacks catcher Chris Iannetta suffered a scary injury his game against the Pirates after he took a 93 mph fastball to the face in the bottom of the ninth.

While there has been some bad blood between the two teams, Diamondback manager Torey Lovullo didn’t feel that the Pirates pitcher was intentionally trying to hit Iannetta.
Iannetta left the game under his own power and may have escaped with just a split lip. It was a scary moment, but assuming he’s fine it’s probably OK to marvel at this incredible picture of the moment of impact.
