Pro-Am Over: Wyndham Championship Under Way This Week

The Pro-Am for the Wyndham Championship was almost in trouble yesterday but luckily tournament director sent a private jet for Holly Sonders, the co-host of Morning Drive on the Golf Channel to make sure pairings were on point. Playing with John Daily could not be missed!  Also, in attendance at the Pro-Am was Chris Paul who just won the 2012 Gold Medal in basketball.

Today at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina, the Pro-Am is over and tee times have started for the race to the playoffs at Wyndham. After Rory McIlroy’s big win last week at the major PGA Championship, he and several other big names will not be competing in this week’s PGA tour stop.

This leaves the 2011 champion, Webb Simpson a great shot at winning this week. However, he will be facing still some tough competition from Jason Dufner who is third on the PGA Tour money list and 9th in the official world golf rankings.

The Wyndham Championship runs until Sunday and the Golf Channel will be running coverage 3PM to 6 PM daily.
